Since 1946, we've made our chocolates the old-fashioned, small batch way. We drench each confection in thick chocolate so each piece is rich, delicious and very satisfying.

Our chocolate is quality-checked for taste, consistency, and overall quality. Because of our strict quality control, every piece of candy from Jo's is mouth watering. Every time.

In fact, nothing sits around in a retail showcase for several weeks. That's because we don't have a showcase, and we don't have a retail store. We do everything through the internet and by mail. All of our chocolates are fresh and delicious.

Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers - The Story
Many good and successful things have happened by accident. Jo's chocolate covered graham crackers are one of these. During the busy Christmas season of 1946, Grandma Jo was dipping fruit and nut clusters at our candy store. Following her midday break she was accustomed to finishing her lunch with a graham cracker---a food she liked almost as much as chocolates.

On this particularly busy day Jo did not take her usual lunch break. Rather, she continued working, her-hands oozing with melted chocolate. At one point she reached for a graham cracker, but it slipped from her fingers and fell into the kettle of melted chocolate. She quickly retrieved the now covered graham cracker, laid it side to dry, and continued dipping fruit and nut clusters.

A few hours later, as the fruit and nut clusters were being packaged for sale one of Jo's helpers asked what the strange looking square was. Jo laughed and related how the graham cracker had fallen into the melted chocolate. She broke the graham cracker in two and each tasted it. We've been told that a twinkle came into Grandma Jo's eyes when she realized what she had made. She dipped more graham crackers and gave one of her "inventions" to each customer that Christmas Eve.

Word soon spread that Jo's Candies was now making thick, delicious chocolate covered graham crackers. And they tasted better than anything most people had ever eaten! Now, more than 45 years later, these same graham crackers are still selling as fast as we can dip them.
